The Alex Film Society presents, at Glendale's Alex Theatre, programs of classic feature films, cartoons, newsreels and short subjects together with guest appearances by notable personalities. Our mission is to entertain and educate the audience while demonstrating to film owners that there is a market for classic films and the financial risks involved in film preservation are worthwhile.

Our goal is to present the best possible prints so patrons can enjoy films in the manner for which they were intended. At the same time the Society must pay the expenses associated with our programs and strengthen our ability to maintain and upgrade the film capabilities of the Alex.

General Admission tickets are $13.50 / $9.50 seniors (65+) and students (full time with ID) and $8 Alex Film Society members. (Some special events are higher, please see schedule page).

Join the Film Society, annual family pass is just $50, at the box office (cash or check for membership only please) and save on tickets immediately! Note summer 2010 box office hours: Sat-Sun 12pm to 5pm. Tickets are always available on line or at the Alex ticket outlet at the Americana at Brand, which is open seven days a week.

We never sell our list, very rarely loan for other classic film related events.
